Karen James Junior championship 2027 Qualifiers

Hilary & Gertie Level 1

From Hilary -Gertie is a 3 year old Working Cocker Spaniel who has been the love of my life since she was 8 weeks old. She is my first spaniel. Her nickname is Sunshine as that is what she brings to all walks of life.  Nosework Games are great fun and she also competes in NNA, SWUK and Scent Ops. We have so much fun and have made many friends and memories in the process.

Denise Pile & Cookie Level 2 & Level 3

Cookie will be 4 years old on the 27th September. We started off doing Rally and was selected to be in the South and South West regional team that went to Crufts last year but we both enjoy playing Nose work games more than Rally. The people that we meet at Nose work games are a lot more friendly although just as competitive. Cookie is a lovely little dog nothing like her breed is usually known for doesn’t bark much and is super friendly. She is not a breed I would normally go for but she needed to be rehomed as the person that had her thought her other dog was going to kill her.

Michelle Bunker & Loki Level 1 & Level 2

Loki is 2 1/2 years old. He is very friendly & nothing seems to faze him so I decided early on he needed a job for his beagle nose. So we started scent training with UK Sniffer Dogs, after a year, I decided to enter our first NWG competition.
We have had really great fun & have learnt so much from the judges but also from other competitors.
Lots of friendly car park chats.
So pleased with our progress & can’t wait for more competitions.

Sally Turner & Linkon Level 1

Linkon is a 17 month old Belgian Shepherd who is a real Mummys boy. We are both enjoying our scent journey and considering he has only been competing just over a year he has done amazingly well in NWG , Scent Ops and NNA trials. We have also just received our nwg  skills level 2 title .

In his spare time he enjoys going out for nice drinks long walks and cuddling up with one of my cats.  We have made some lovely friends over the year and would like to thank everyone that has helped us achieve what we have .

Lynn Crook & Tansy Level 1

I bought Tansy from Preloved two years ago. I wanted a small dog who wouldn’t intimidate my 3 legged springer at all and who wouldn’t be likely pull me over on walks as I had dodgy knees and hips. She is now 6.  She had been a lockdown pup and had had pups of her own. I was hoping she would do scentwork as well although it wasn’t as important as the other considerations. She really enjoys it now and is conquering her various demons—some walls and corners worry her. I am thrilled with her and her grumpy little face and big cuddles make my life more fun.

Kathryn Ebdon & Dash  Level 1

Dash is a 6 yr old Collie X Cocker. I adopted him from his original family after they had had him for 4 days. We started scentwork when he was injured. He was previously a flyball dog and was learning agility. I’m so chuffed that he is absolutely loving scentwork. He’s  slowly learning to not live up to his nickname ” Dash the Destroyer”

Sally Turner & Ziva Level 1

Ziva is a 5 yr old Belgian shephard Gronendale. she is my precious baby girl, who is thoroughly spoilt and she knows it!!!In her spare time she enjoys cuddles, being treated like a princess and when the mood takes her unleashing her very high prey drive because she absolutely loves a good chase. She occasionally joins Linkon on his drinking expiditions, although she insists she is only there to keep him out of trouble.
